Mayor Robert Silva
Mayor Silva has served in various capacities in city government for the past 20 years. As a Mendota Unified School District Board Trustee, he was instrumental in the construction of the new Mendota High School. As a Mendota City Council Member, he has been actively involved in promoting and instituting public value among his constituents. As Mayor, he has been a key figure in the financial turn-around of the City. As an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and a prominent member of business community, Mayor Silva has incorporated his aptitude for economic development as one of his platforms as a City Council Member. In the last year alone, he worked tirelessly to secure $115 million dollars in Federal funding for the completion of the Mendota Federal Correctional Institution and was instrumental in the attraction of a 5 mega watt solar energy plant, the largest in the State of California. |
