Food and Children's Goods Giveaway

The Rivers of Living Waters Christian Church has teamed up with First 5 of Fresno County to bring a food and children's supply giveaway to the residents of Mendota. Registration will commence on February 12th and 19th between 8 AM and 12 Noon for the giveaway, which will be held on March 6th at 9 AM until everything is given out. Both the registration and the giveaway will be at the Mendota Community Center. For more information, please contact Rivers of Living Waters Christian Church at 217-4394.

Community Center Community Meetings

The City of Mendota is asking for residents’ input into the proposed new community center for a grant application. The City has hosted 4 meetings to get suggestions from the public, but there are only three meetings left to let your voice be heard. The next meeting will be held January 13th at the High School Library before the Mendota School Board at 6:30 PM. The second meeting will be at the Midland Manor Apartments on January 19th at 12 PM. The final meeting will be at Rojas-Pierce Park on February 7th, a Sunday, at 1:30. At this event there will be food, raffle prizes, music, a theatrical play, and entertainment.
